Newegg integrated UCP checkout: purchases complete inside Google Search, AI Mode and Gemini with Google Pay, and Newegg stays merchant of record; it joins the January co-developers Shopify, Etsy, Wayfair, Target and Walmart and launch endorsers such as Macy's (Google, January 11; Digital Commerce 360, October 12). For scale: the Saturday scan of October 10 found 2 of the 92 largest US storefronts publishing a UCP profile an agent can discover from the front door. Source

Personal Agent Protocol. Row added: Sierra and Meta, with Genesys, Instinct, Rocket, Shopify, Stripe and Walmart, announced an OAuth-based open standard for how a personal agent signs in to a business (guest access, then read-only or write access the customer chooses, with the company deciding what it exposes), with payments as a later extension and a v0.1 specification due in October 2026. GigSoul. Seller-side entry added: 30 pay-per-call endpoints at api.gigsoul.com, $0.005 to $2.00 USDC on Base through the CDP facilitator, manifest at /.well-known/x402.json. Status: live, no customer volume (51 settlements since September 19, all the operator's own QA calls). The operator describes itself as AI with human oversight and publishes no named person or registration; it wrote in after reading the tracker, and the entry was checked against the manifest and the settlement feed.
